The Lakers hope that Koloko will play the entire season despite his blood issue

The purple and gold team hopes that their new signing can help them throughout the entire season.

Christian Koloko was signed by the Los Angeles Lakers a few weeks ago, and his new team hopes that despite the medical issue that kept him from playing for the Toronto Raptors for a while, he will be able to play the entire season with the purple and gold team.

“Koloko, the 33rd pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors, missed all of last season due to a blood clot issue and still needs to be cleared by the league’s ‘fitness-to-play panel’, which consists of a doctor appointed by the NBA, a doctor appointed by the players’ union, and a third doctor mutually agreed upon before he could engage in basketball activities for Los Angeles,” wrote Dave McMenamin.

Thus, a medical examination would have been carried out on the player that would be very positive and would allow Koloko to be fit for JJ Redick throughout the year.

“The Lakers have conducted an independent evaluation of Koloko’s condition, 24, and have reasons to be optimistic that he will be able to play this season,” sources told ESPN,” McMenamin added.
