Kevin Durant Made His Thoughts on Critics of the Modern Day NBA Extremely Clear

The Phoenix Suns beat the Portland Trail Blazers by a score of 116-109 on Sunday evening, improving their record to 14-11 on the young NBA season.

The Suns have been without superstar forward Kevin Durant for 11 out of 25 games this year as Durant has battled a left ankle sprain.

On Sunday before the game, the former Texas Longhorns star shared his thoughts on critics of the “modern NBA” play style, which critics have taken aim at due to coaches’ decisions to rest players, the use of analytics, a perceived overreliance on the three-point shot, and other key aspects.

“Don’t get me wrong, there’s *SO* much the NBA could do better,” an X account holder named BetseyCashMoney wrote in a post that was retweeted by Durant.

“All the ‘What’s wrong with the NBA’ talk is also insufferrable,” she said.

“The entire discourse is just nostalgic, opinion-based complaints & whining, with zero regard for facts-data-research whatsoever.”

Durant’s retweet included a message that made his thoughts on the rant about those who complain about the modern day NBA extremely clear.

“Good morning! I agree…Enjoy today’s slate of games,” Durant said, making his official stance on the issue 100% clear.

Durant went on to score 20 points while hauling down seven rebounds and dishing out seven assists on the night in the Suns’ win over the Blazers.
