There’s no denying that Steph Curry is among the greatest point guards of his generation and the greatest shooter to ever step foot on the NBA hardwood. However, there is a growing debate regarding whether the Golden State Warriors superstar belongs in the conversation for greatest player of all time.
During a recent appearance on the “Ur.Perspective” podcast, Oklahoma City Thunder big man Isaiah Hartenstein named Curry among the top-five greatest players in history. Curry was ranked among Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal. After adding an Olympic gold medal to his resume earlier this summer, Curry likely does have a claim to being held in such high regard.
Nevertheless, these conversations and all-time debates are subjective. Everyone will have a different opinion on where players sit within the pantheon of greatness, with players from previous eras often getting less consideration as time goes by. Still, Curry’s resume speaks for itself and proves he deserves to have his named mentioned among the greatest players in league history.
