Anthony Davis has always been very cool with his fans off the court. Or so it seems. The Lakers star has shared the court with LeBron James for almost five years. However, the former Pelican is well aware of comments made by a LeBron fan years ago. That’s right, CashNasty, the famous YouTuber and big-time LeBron James fan has roasted several NBA players on his channel. From bad performances to leaked videos, CashNasty does not go easy on any player.
Such was the case with Anthony Davis. The 6’10” center played for the Kentucky Wildcats back in 2012. Now, as dominant of a prospect as he was, a leaked video of Davis caught CashNasty’s attention. The YouTuber did not hold back. He roasted AD on his channel. But little did he know that he’d regret this decision years later. Now, Cash Nasty always wanted to shake hands with the King. But he never really got the chance. Not for at least a decade! During the 2023 playoffs, CashNasty finally met LeBron James.
However, what he would go on to notice about AD was something he didn’t know he would have to apologize for. In an episode of Join the Lobby Podcast, CashNasty publicly apologized for his roast video on AD years ago. “Bro, I know AD know who I am, bro. He never say what’s up. Never nod his head. I wanna do a public apology, bro… Back then, he did a video, bro. The video ain’t leaked, you know, when he went to college. But you know what I’m talking about right? And I did a reaction on it, and I went ballistic on it, bro. I roasted the hell out of dog. I did bro. But bro, it was drunk cash. Margarita cash. So I know AD knows that, you know, because I could just I could tell by the energy, man.”, the YouTuber said.
Now, the video in question isn’t known. But then again, Anthony Davis wasn’t a fan of CashNasty’s roast years ago. It will be interesting to see whether he accepts the YouTuber’s apology and acknowledges him the next time he sees Nasty. Not to mention, Cash Nasty is a big Laker fan. Though it is because of his favorite player on the roster, he still has a lot of respect for his teammates. In fact, Nasty made a 12-minute reaction video after AD was traded to the Lakers.

Being a long-time LeBron fan, Nasty was not a fan of the Warriors. Consequently, watching them lose in the 2019 Finals followed by Davis’ trade was probably the best to be a LeBron fan. In his reaction video, Nasty couldn’t help but claim the end of the Warriors dynasty and compare AD’s trade to when Kevin Durant joined the Dubs. “When y’all picked up KD with two other superstars whatever y’all got, y’all was happy. Do not knock my shine right now, I’m happy!”, Nasty hilariously said.
Well, Nasty’s wish would finally come true as the Lakers would go on to win the title in 2020. Since then, the Lakers have been struggling to get back on track, but surely enough, the 2019-20 season was a dream season for fans like Nasty. As he apologizes for his old mistakes, it will be a sight to see Cash Nasty meet Anthony
