NBA 2K25 ratings have been released, and the Los Angeles Lakers are one of the few teams boasting two stars toward the top of the player overall rankings. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are two of the league’s stars with a 95+ overall rating.

James, entering his age 40 season, shares a 96 overall rating with Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, the third highest rating in the league behind European superstars Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic, who have a 98 and 97 overall rating respectively.

Despite his age, James will still sport a 92 rating for athleticism, which further breaks down into his longtime stellar 97 rating for durability and 89 rating for vertical. He also has an 87 overall rating for outside scoring, a 90 rating for inside scoring, and an 89 rating for playmaking.



Davis will start the season with a 95 overall rating, which includes an 87 for athleticism, 90 for inside scoring, and 87 for outside scoring. Other standout ratings include a 98 for shot IQ and 94 for interior defense.

There’s a tie for the third-highest rating on the Lakers between guards D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves, who will both begin the season at 82 overall. Reaves had 15.9 points and 5.5 assists per game last season, while Russell scored 18.6 points per game with 6.3 assists during the Lakers 2023-24 season.

The Lakers duo have been pivotal in the 2024 Paris Olympics run for Team USA, knocking off Puerto Rico on Saturday by a score of 104-83 and clinching their spot in the knockout phase of the tournament.



Team USA also boasts the highest point differential (+64) of any team in the tournament, with James starting each game while Davis comes off the bench to help anchor the defense in the paint.

Davis is averaging 8.3 points, 7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game for Team USA over 17.8 minutes of action, while James is putting up 14.3 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.7 rebounds per match as the primary ball handler for the squad.

They play their first knockout-stage game against Brazil on Tuesday. Davis will look to hold off center Bruno Caboclo, who scored 33 points with 17 rebounds against Japan in their last game to help advance the Brazilian squad into the next round.
