Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady was in a gushy mood on the latest episode of FOX NFL Sunday.
The NFL legend is approaching the end of his debut season as part of the commentary team for FOX’s flagship show. And it appears the American football great is enjoying his time on the other side of the touchline given the words of affection he had for his colleagues.
Just four weeks remain in the 2024 NFL regular season as the playoff picture begins to take shape. Brady, 47, is accustomed to emotions running high around this time of the year, but the retired quarterback was in a poignant mood for a different reason this time around.
“It’s been really fun, Curt. Thank you,” said the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers shot-caller when asked how he was enjoying life as an announcer. “It’s been so fun. The best part is I have the best team-mates in the world.
“[Fellow commentator] Kevin Burkhardt, [sideline reporter] Erin Andrews, [reporter] Tom Rinaldi. . .so, just coming into this has been so much fun, [I’ve] really enjoyed every part of it.”
Former colleague Rob Gronkowski was on hand to lap up some of the praise, suggesting Brady has been blessed in his broadcasting career, just as he was as a player. And Brady wholeheartedly agreed with his old tight end partner, with whom he combined to score 105 touchdowns during their careers with both the Pats and the Bucs.

Brady has earned widespread praise over the course of his maiden year sitting in the broadcast booth. The gridiron icon retired from playing in 2022 and enjoyed some time off from the game before announcing his return as a color commentator.
And it’s fair to say ‘TB12’ has taken to the mic like a natural and fast became a FOX favourite this year. Brady went on to reveal he’s been diligent in his game preparation for the new role, but he’s proved a charismatic presence on the screen as well.
Anticipation is building ahead of the regular season run-in as the NFL prepares for playoff football. And many will be hoping to see Brady on their televisions as often as possible as his breakthrough year on FOX NFL Sunday draws to a climax.
