Steph Curry Injury Update: NBA insider reveals probable return timeline for Warriors’ superstar

On Friday, NBA insider Anthony Slater provided a potential return date for Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry. Curry suffered an ankle injury on Sunday against the LA Clippers. Since then, the four-time champion has missed two games and has been ruled out for their Saturday game against the Houston Rockets.

According to Slater, Curry is set to be re-evaluated on Sunday, following their game with the Rockets. He will participate in some practices tonight but not all of them.

Slater reported that the possible return date for the Warriors star will be on Monday against the Washington Wizards.

The Warriors guard has played the first three games of the season. Curry is only averaging 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.7 assists in 26.3 minutes, so he hasn’t found his rhythm yet.

Golden State is off to a great start with a 4-1 record. While Curry recovers from his ankle injury, Buddy Hield and Andrew Wiggins have picked up the slack.

Since the season started, Hield has played significant minutes for the team, averaging 21.2 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 2.6 apg. Wiggins, on the other hand, has put up 19.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg and 2.3 apg.

Along with Curry, De’Anthony Melton, who has a strained lower back, is also ruled out for Saturday’s game.

Steph Curry could team up with All-Star forward

The Warriors have started to look for other options to improve the roster. According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick and John Hollinger, there are rumors that NBA executives believe that Golden State is willing to trade Jonathan Kuminga. The NBA insiders reported that the team has kept close attention to the availability of Jimmy Butler.

If the All-Star’s relationship with the Miami Heat goes south, the Warriors front staff may look at a possible partnership with Steph Curry and Butler.
