In the history of the NFL, no quarterback-tight end duo has been as formidable as Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. The two icons of the game had an unspoken bond, a connection on the field that made their plays seem effortless. While Rob Gronkowski has never caught a pass from any other quarterback apart from Tom Brady, he recalls one touchdown that continues to be his favorite memory of the two.
The former NFL tight end shared a memory from the Patriots-Colts game in Week 11 of 2014 when Brady threw a bullet pass to Rob Gronkowski who showcased his exceptional combination of physicality and athleticism as he ran through the defense and into the endzone.
The tight end recalled this memory on the recent iteration of the Dudes on Dudes Podcast with Julian Edelman.
One of my favorite moments with him (Tom Brady). Tom loved the route, loved the catch, loved your block. He was so pumped up, that he ran full speed from the 30-yard line, and probably because I got him a TD, he came running full speed, jumped on my back, and went for a ride. He was like a pony on a horse. I was carrying Tom Brady around.

The sequence of the play was so good that it made Brady run from the 30-yard line to the endzone just to pounce on Gronkowski.
Tom Brady has a 110-31 record when he has played with Rob Gronkowski on the team
The quarterback-tight end duo made one another better. While the most common touchdown celebration of theirs is Gronkowski doing his iconic ‘Gronk spike’ and Brady yelling his guts out while tapping the tight end on his helmet, the celebration against the Colts was different.
Tom Brady can be seen sitting on Gronk’s back, piggyback riding him. It was a moment that the tight end cherishes to date. The Colts-Patriots game ended up going in the favor of the latter team. The Brady-Gronk era in New England can never be recreated, it is a sight that the most fortunate of fans were able to witness when it was happening.
The two constantly made each other better and the numbers indicate that. Tom Brady has a 110-31 record when he has had Gronk on the roster.
Irrespective of what stage the game was or if the team had the lead or was trailing, this duo showed up and seldom failed to perform. Together, they spent 11 seasons and won four Super Bowls together.
