Paul Pierce says the Lakers should focus on the LeBron-Bronny duo and not winning this season: “Let’s get Bronny out of G League.” Pierce also suggests Lakers trade Anthony Davis (possibly to Miami), while Kevin Garnett strongly disagrees.

The Los Angeles Lakers currently hold a positive 13-12 record, largely thanks to Anthony Davis, who is averaging 27.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game.
However, the team has struggled lately, winning just three of their last 11 games. NBA legend Paul Pierce believes that this season is not on a winning trajectory and has suggested that the Lakers should consider trading Davis.
Pierce added that this year should focus on LeBron James playing alongside his son, Bronny James.
“This season was about Bron playing with Bronny, and we wanted all to see that,” Pierce noted during the Ticket & The Truth podcast with Kevin Garnett. “We want to see a little more of that. … Enjoy the greatness of LeBron while you can. If you can trade AD and get some pieces for the future, maybe you do that.
“You are not trading Bron. You trade AD, and then you bring Bronny up for the rest of the season and let them cook. Let Bron and Bronny play, trade AD, and let the young guys develop,” he continued.

“This year is not about winning. This is about Bron, Bronny. Let’s develop and connect,” he said. “Let’s see what we got. … Bron has broken every record, he has nothing else to prove. All he wanted to do for years was, ‘I want to play with my son.’ We allowing that to happen, let’s get him [Bronny] out of G League, bring him up for the rest of the season because we not going anywhere this year. … Let’s bring Bronny up.
“AD is good, so do him justice and give him an opportunity to go somewhere and play for a title, because it’s not happening in LA,” Pierce went on to say.
Garnett, however, strongly disagreed with Pierce’s suggestion, asserting that Lakers fans would not understand and support such a move.
“Hell, no. Lakers Nation is not going for that,” KG stated.
“You know what I’m saying? Trade him [AD] to Miami,” Pierce then said about the possible Davis trade. Garnett, though, insisted that AD is not going anywhere.

While there have been no rumors about the Lakers wanting to move Davis, there is speculation that the Golden State Warriors might be interested in acquiring LeBron, especially to pair him with Steph Curry.
Reports indicate that any potential deal would likely require Bronny to join as well, as LeBron has made it clear he wants to play alongside his son.
In addition to Davis, Pierce also suggested that the Lakers could consider trading D’Angelo Russell to reshape their current roster and acquire more draft picks, allowing the team to build for the future.
