Former NBA star, Patrick Beverley was one of the most elite defenders in the league. He made his mark in the NBA through his pesky defense. Throughout his time in the league, Beverley bounced teams and many wanted him for his defense. Recently, Beverley made one of the biggest decisions of his career and decided to leave the NBA. He chose to sign with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC in July.
Patrick Beverley talked about his first appearance in the overseas league on the ‘Pat Bev Podcast.’ During the conversation, Pat Bev compared his growing popularity overseas to that of LeBron James. He supported this statement by how the fans were trying to get his pictures and autographs after the game.
Beverley also made his debut for Tel Aviv BC on Saturday. During the game, it was evident that he was struggling. Even though Bev is known for his defensive mindset, he helped the team offensively by racking up six assists. In the 15 minutes that Beverley played in, he just recorded three points, all coming from the free throws. But Beverley’s offensive help was enough for the Tel Aviv BC to win the game easily with the final score of 92-75.

Patrick Beverley infuriated the NBA with his tough defense. He earned a reputation as one of the most polarizing stars in the league, constantly engaging in trash talk during games and committing flagrant fouls on opponents. Throughout his time in the NBA, Beverley’s aggressive play style and defensive presence made him a formidable force on the court.
In his 12-year-long career, Beverley was involved in altercations with many NBA stars notably Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, and Damian Lillard. Beverley even made headlines when he pushed DeAndre Ayton during a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns. The situation escalated and Beverley even faced a three-game suspension.
In his final season in the NBA, Beverley played for the Milwaukee Bucks where he averaged 6.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. During his final stint with the Bucks, Beverley again stirred the pot and had a heated altercation with a fan. During this, the situation got heated and Beverley launched the ball at the fan. Beverley faced great backlash from the basketball world for his action after which he announced his departure from the league.
