The WNBA All-Star break is now just two days away, as Wednesday’s slate of games will conclude the first half of play. The WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday, and following that exciting showdown, the league will take a break until August 15th when they finally resume play.
While the WNBA All-Star game is already a big deal, the weekend becomes an even greater celebration as fans and players know it will be their last time coming together for a while. This is why it was especially exciting when the WNBA announced that LSU star and rapper Flau’jae Johnson would be performing at Boardroom’s invite-only All-Star Weekend party in Phoenix.
Boardroom is a sports media and entertainment company that is co-founded by NBA star Kevin Durant and his agent Rich Kleiman.
Durant will almost certainly be in attendance at this party, and given his ties to Boardroom, the Phoenix Suns star re-shared this exciting announcement from Johnson and the WNBA in a post on his Instagram story:

Johnson played at LSU with Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese. The two have a close relationship, and Johnson has name dropped Reese in her songs – most recently during an incredible performance at the ESPYs:

This opportunity perform is a very unique one for Johnson, and is well-deserved as the LSU star has really made a name for herself in the rap space. Already having a song with rap legend Lil Wayne, Johnson has gotten off to an incredible start to her rap career, which is especially impressive when considering she also projects to eventually become a WNBA player after her time at LSU.
