Magic Johnson joins thousands of fans to wish two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant a happy birthday celebration.

Magic Johnson and Kevin Durant

It was a celebration all through as Kevin Durant marked a major milestone in his life as he turned 36 years old. While he received amazing wishes from all over, he also received birthday wishes from fellow basketball legends, including Magic Johnson. In a move that touched the basketball world, Magic Johnson shared a post on X as he celebrated Durant’s birthday.

Most would want to be in his shoes as he has had an illustrious 17-year career. However, he has somewhat been a journeyman where he has played for several teams. This includes the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, and now the Phoenix Suns, achieving plant roots.

Happy birthday to Kevin Durant! KD is one of my favorite players and people and his mother Wanda, is truly a special lady. He’s one of the best athlete entrepreneurs out there and he, along with his business partner Rich Kleiman, are currently building a business empire.

Kevin Durant who is approaching father time anytime soon can beat his chest and proudly say he is a two-time NBA Champion, a four-time Olympic Gold medalist, and the winner of the 2014 NBA MVP Award. Moreover, he doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon, as he shows he still has a lot of fuel left in the tank.

Kevin Durant celebrates birthday in the company of greatness

As part of his birthday celebrations, Kevin Durant marked the special day by watching his hometown Washington Commanders dominate the Arizona Cardinals in a 42-14 victory. He wasn’t alone obviously as he was in the company of Commanders part-owner Magic Johnson, owner Josh Harris, and other members of the team’s ownership group at State Farm Stadium.

His presence with the management of the team reminds fans of the time he expressed interest in joining the ownership group as he was reportedly keen during the team’s ownership dispute in 2022. Additionally, KD recently became a minority owner of the French soccer team, Paris Saint-Germain.

With the new season getting closer, the Slim Reaper will prepare for his 17th season, first, he will have to speak to the media at the Suns’ media day. Then with motivated Durant alongside the young Devin Booker and experienced Bradley Beal, the Suns might get revenge for last season’s sweep at the hands of the Timberwolves.
