KD had a game to remember against Serbia.
The Summer Olympics are a stage unlike any other, and Kevin Durant certainly came to play.
During the first half of Team USA’s opening game against Team Serbia, Durant exploded, scoring a game-high 21 points on a perfect 8-for-8 shooting. He was also 5-for-5 from beyond the arc, helping them to a 58-49 lead at the half.
Durant’s unique and unrivaled scoring ability was on display, with the Phoenix Suns’ star hitting tough shot after tough shot in the opening two quarters. He capitalized it with a fade-away jumper as the first-half buzzer sounded, falling to the ground in front of his team’s bench.
NBA fans back in the United States were going crazy for this performance from Durant. Here’s a look at how they reacted during the first half.

LeBron James also tacked on 12 points with a perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the floor, but Serbia isn’t going away any time soon with Nikola Jokic leading the way for them.
It should be a really entertaining second half.
