Kevin Durant was loving Sabrina Ionescu’s late-game heroics on Wednesday
New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu has never shied away from the biggest of moments in her career, from college to the pros, so it comes as no surprise that on Wednesday night in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals, she stepped up when the lights were the brightest.
With the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx tied at 77 with just one second left on the clock, Ionescu drained a logo 3-pointer that gave the Liberty the win, moving them to 2-1 on the series.
The internet exploded once the shot went in, with fans going crazy over Ionescu and her late-game heroics.
Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant weighed in and gave Ionescu a fitting three-word nickname for her killer nature.

Ionescu finished the game with 13 points on 3-for-8 shooting to go along with five rebounds and six assists. It was Breanna Stewart who was the catalyst for the Liberty in the win, scoring 30 points to go along with 11 rebounds in the win.
Minnesota had led the game by as many as 15 points before a Liberty comeback int eh second half.
After dropping the first game of the series last week, the Liberty have now won two straight games and put the pressure back on Minnesota to split the series at home and take advantage of their home court.
That fourth game of the series will take place on Friday night, aired on ESPN.
