Insider Predicts Bill Belichick To Raid Tom Brady’s Raiders for Key Decision After Reuniting With Patriots Assistant Post UNC Announcement

For years, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick ruled the NFL. The dynasty was invincible. However, in 2024, the dynamics have changed. It’s totally unbelievable how the future has shaped for them. While the GOAT signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX as a broadcaster, and also owns a stake in LV Raiders, the coach struggled to find any team in the league and has moved to college football.

However, an insider news might rock the relationship between the two. Brady would be concerned as the coach is eyeing his staff. According to ESPN’s Chris Low, “One possibility to join Bill Belichick at North Carolina as OC is Las Vegas Raiders interim OC Scott Turner, who started the season as the Raiders’ passing game coordinator and moved to interim OC when Luke Getsy was fired.

If Bill Belichick manages to grab Scott Turner, it would be a huge raid. He is the son of veteran Norv Turner, who has spent close to 4 decades in the NFL and currently serves as an advisor at the Silver and the Black. The Raiders OC has himself spent 2 decades in the NFL. However, there are two things which hint that the move is likely possible.

The first is the Raiders’ poor performance in 2024. They have a 2-11 win-loss record after week 14. On the personal level, Scott Turner has left the NFL for college football previously too. In 2017, when he was fired as Vikings OC in January 2017, he moved to Michigan Wolverines and spent the entire season there before coming back into the league as Panthers QB coach.

The NFL legend is gathering resources before he starts training the boys at North Carolina. That’s a very thoughtful move. And for good results, it’s important to have experienced people.

Bill Belichick gets back with former Patriots assistant at UNC

After signing a 5-year deal with North Carolina Tar Heels football team, the former Patriots head coach was jubilant and said, “I am excited for the opportunity at UNC-Chapel Hill. I grew up around college football with my Dad and treasured those times. I have always wanted to coach in college and now I look forward to building the football program in Chapel Hill.” However, he is not coming alone.

Michael Lombardi

Michael Lombardi, who served at Patriots from 2014 to 2016 as an assistant to the coaching staff, is also going to UNC as the football program’s GM. Their rapport has been great, and Bill Belichick had once called the assistant, “Mike’s one of the smartest people I’ve worked with.” The NFL would be keenly watching their progression.

The coach and UNC are waiting for the league to end. Tom Brady’s Raiders are already disqualified from the playoffs. We can expect some major changes in the staff in January. The scenario about OC Turner will be more clear. It’s planning time.
