Devin Booker saw a fan in Paris wearing his Suns jersey and decided to gift him a pair of his signature shoes to show him some love.
Devin Booker generously gifted a fan a pair of shoes in the streets of Paris. While Booker was on Instagram Live, he spotted a fan wearing his Suns jersey while walking around the city. Booker then asked the fan to come with him and asked for his shoe size. He revealed a trunk full of his Nike signature shoes, the Book1 Pythons, before taking a picture with the fan.
It was a generous act from Booker, who really didn’t need to offer this fan such a precious gift. But he went out of his way to show love and support to someone who was doing the same to him. Perhaps this fan will wear these shoes to Team USA’s next game against Puerto Rico tomorrow, where Booker is expected to play.
Devin Booker has been a reliable starter for Team USA since the Olympics started. In their opener against Serbia, he had a strong performance with 12 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. He was a big part of their dominant outing against Serbia, who were considered one of the tougher teams in the tournament.
Then against South Sudan, Booker once again stepped up, delivering 10 points, 1 rebound, 6 assists, and 1 steal. Booker is expected to start against Puerto Rico tomorrow, but given how head coach Steve Kerr has been rotating the starting lineups, he is not guaranteed to get the nod to start tomorrow.
Booker has mostly kept Anthony Edwards out of the starting lineups at the Olympics. Despite calling himself the number one option for Team USA, Edwards has come off the bench whenever Booker comes out of the game. Team USA’s squad is an embarrassment of riches, as they have many of the best players in the world available.

Will Steve Kerr Rotate The Squad Once Again?
Head coach Steve Kerr has shown that he is not afraid to shuffle the deck and put out different starting lineups as and when he feels it is appropriate. He famously left Jayson Tatum out of the game against Serbia, a decision he claimed made him feel like an idiot, but one he stood by.
Once Tatum was added back to the starting lineup, Joel Embiid found himself out of the game against South Sudan. Kerr noted after the game that Embiid was only kept out as he wanted a faster lineup out there that could switch easily against the size of South Sudan’s players.
With Puerto Rico having a slightly smaller team than many others in the Olympics, it wouldn’t be surprising if Kerr fielded a bigger lineup to try and make things difficult for them at the rim. Perhaps a lineup of Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, and Joel Embiid could be the one Kerr goes with.
So far, Team USA has thrived despite the constant changes Kerr is making. And given the roster they have, it is unlikely that they will run into any problems with rotations any time soon. But the lack of a consistent starting lineup could affect them as they go deeper into the tournament.
