Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry made sure to spend some quality time with his better half after returning from a frantic trip to China. This came in the form of a date with his wife, Ayesha Curry, in Sunday’s showdown between the Carolina Panthers and the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Week 3 matchup was held at the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium, which means the couple made the trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas to watch the game. Steph, in particular, had his Panthers hat on to make it abundantly clear which team he was supporting. Curry, who was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, also took to Instagram to flex his Panthers fandom with a strong declaration.
“Charlotte to the Bay but it’s always @panthers for us #keeppounding,” Steph wrote in his caption as he shared a handful of photos of himself and Ayesha enjoying the game inside one of the VIP suites at the Allegiant Stadium.
The Panthers’ social media team caught wind of Curry’s post, and they, of course, had to respond.
The team needed just two words to express their appreciation for the support from the Currys.
The term “keep pounding” has become a mantra for the Panthers as a way of representing their ability to battle through adversity. It is a saying that Curry has embraced and has embodied the same throughout his NBA career.

The good news for Steph and Ayesha is that they did not come home disappointed. The Panthers secured a 36-22 road win thanks to strong performances from the likes of quarterback Andy Dalton (26-of-37 passing for 319 yards and three touchdowns) and wide receiver Diontae Johnson (eight receptions for 122 yards, one touchdown).
This was Carolina’s first win of the season after three games played, and it appears that Steph and Ayesha proved to be their lucky charm.
