Bronny James reveals what advice Steph Curry gave him in his final preseason game as an NBA rookie

The rookie had one of his best games against the Warriors

Bronny James is showing why he deserves a spot on an NBA team on and off the court. The Los Angeles Lakers rookie had one of his best games Friday night during the last preseason match against the Golden State Warriors.

James recorded 17 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist on 35 minutes played. The former USC Trojan also showed his defensive skills guarding experienced players such as Buddy Hield.

At a press conference after the game, the older son of LeBron James shared what advice he received from superstar Steph Curry, the Warriors leader.,

“Just catching up but mainly just, you know, him telling me to play, play my game and be myself. Also just giving some pointers on things to do in certain situations but nothing, nothing too crazy,” said James.

Bronny was also asked about what he felt after having a very productive night on the offensive side of the court.

“It just gave me a chance to be myself, I feel like that’s where I’m the most comfortable just going out there and playing my game”, said the Lakers rookie.

Thank you for watching

The guard also mentioned the fact that he felt great just going out on the court and not think as much as he does.

When asked about what is the part of his game that he needs to improve heading on to the 2024-2025 season, James believes that the defensive side of things is where he needs to put in more effort.

But also tonight I was given an opportunity to go showcase my offensive game and I did that a little bit. So I feel like my confidence is the biggest thing for me right now is, you know, uplifting myself.”

Bronny and the Lakers are looking to make a great start to the season next Tuesday when the Los Angeles team will face the Minnesota Timberwolves at Crypto Arena.
