Anthony Davis Jokes Lakers ‘For Sure’ Want Bronny James to Dunk on LeBron

Lebron and Bronny James are not the only Los Angeles Lakers excited for the duo to take the court together.

Entering his sixth season with the Lakers, big man Anthony Davis is also eager to see the father-son duo share the court, but for very different reasons, as he mentioned in an interview with Spectrum SportsNet.

“For sure, he has to,” said Davis when asked if the team wanted to see Bronny dunk on 39-year-old LeBron.

After playing alongside LeBron on the Lakers for five seasons, Davis shared his thoughts on the excitement within the organization about witnessing the first father-son duo play on the same team in the NBA.

“I know it was a great experience for them, a great moment for them when they heard his name called to the Lakers,” Davis said. “It was a great moment for me just being around the family so much that I have been.”

Davis joked about how he called LeBron on draft night, expressing that he wanted to talk to his new teammate Bronny instead.

Davis, LeBron, Bronny and the Lakers will open up its preseason on Friday, Oct. 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
