The dean of the Tight End University will be up against A-Rod and his Jets in a few days. Ahead of the scuffle, George Kittle decided to speak to Kay Adams and a few interesting things about his dynamic with the 4x MVP made the light. Apparently, the Niners TE wants Aaron Rodgers to make the “headlines” so everyone takes their eyes off what the Niners are trying to do.
Kittle was amused when Kay Adams pointed out that he’s 3-2 against Aaron Rodgers. That’s not all—the Niners are also 2-0 against Rodgers in the playoffs. Safe to say, Kittle knows the Super Bowl-winning QB quite well. On Up & Adams with Kay Adams, Rodgers “downplayed” the 49ers, and Kittle thinks he’s just trying to avoid the headlines. He even had a request to make.
“Are you telling me Aaron Rodgers doesn’t like headlines?” Kay Adams asked Kittle on Up & Adams with Kay Adams. The Niners TE took a “friendly” jab at A-Rod by affirming that he’s trying to downplay the San Fran team so that the Jets can focus on winning the season opener and Adams wanted Kittle to open up about his relationship with the QB.
“It’s [relationship with A-Rod] very limited,” said Kittle, adding, “I literally know Aaron through Mercedes Lewis and Rob Tonyan. I think on football field a couple of times maybe off the football field once. But no, it’s not a lot. I just have massive respect for the guy.”
Kay Adams put up the picture of A-Rod and Kittle together and there’s something funny about it. While both players donned the standard kits, the logo on Rodgers’ hand warmer is edited with the Jets’ logo. The Niners TE shared the photo a couple of months ago on his Instagram Story and tagged Rodgers saying, “See you soon [emoji].”
The last time when A-Rod and George Kittle went against each other was in the 2021 season when they played a regular season game and met each other in the playoffs again. The Niners lost the regular season game with the final score of 30-28 and Kittle put up 92 yards and no touchdown.
They met again in the NFL Divisional game that year. Kittle and his squad got the best of A-Rod and his pack this time, though. The Niners won that game 13-10 and Kittle put up 63 yards and no touchdowns. Hopefully, he will find an epic way to march into the Jets’ end zone the next time they meet.
While Kittle joked about Aaron Rodgers making “headlines,” it is true that his offseason shenanigans really made everyone scratch their heads. More drama surrounding Aaron Rodgers surfaced after the release of his much-awaited biography: “Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers.”
Can Aaron Rodgers make everything right?
Bestselling writer Ian O’Connor’s take on Aaron Rodgers was an attempt to demystify him an all that he believes in. Let’s just face it, Rodgers has some quirky theories about aliens, vaccinations, faith and a lot of other things. Some of his beliefs have even left people with a sour taste in their mouths. But the writer behind the book thinks Rodgers can nullify the hate by winning a Super Bowl for the Jets.

“Though sometimes people confuse victory with virtue, let’s face it, winning cures a lot of ills, on and off the field. If he could win a championship before he retires, with the New York Jets of all teams, I do think that will repair a lot of damage [from] the off-field controversies he basically started. But I do think he could reverse this by winning a Super Bowl with the Jets,” Ian O’Connor wrote in his book.
