Nikki Glaser Says She’d ‘Definitely’ Apologize to Gisele Bündchen for Tom Brady Roast Jokes If They Meet (Exclusive)

The comedian and host of the 2025 Golden Globes poked fun at the NFL star and his supermodel ex earlier this year

Nikki Glaser knows her punchlines can, well, pack a punch.

Case in point: Her set at Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which went viral for the comedian’s jokes about the NFL legend, 47, and his relationship with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, 44.

“I have a feeling that Gisele wasn’t that happy with what I had said,” Glaser, 40, tells PEOPLE.

Among some of her zingers at the May 5 special: “Tom Brady, five-time Super Bowl MVP, most career wins, most career touchdowns, you have seven rings — well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back,” she said, referencing their 2022 split.

Glaser — the host of the 2025 Golden Globe awards — also poked fun at Bündchen’s relationship with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente during the roast.

“The only thing dumber than saying yes to this roast was when you said, ‘Hey babe, you should try jiu-jitsu,’” quipped Glaser, who also made a remark about the new couple’s sex life.

Glaser says now she debated bringing up Bündchen (who is now expecting a child with Valente). “I mentioned her in a joke, which I did question because she wasn’t there, and it’s like, ‘She’s not asking for this.’ But then I remembered that she’s the hottest person in the world, and I go, ‘She can probably handle it,’” says the FBoy Island host.

“Which obviously is a joke, but at the same time, yeah, I heard that she maybe wasn’t happy with some jokes. I don’t know if it was mine in particular, but I think that was fair,” she continues.

“I think that comedy is always going to upset someone. And I think if I were her, I would’ve been annoyed too. So I give her that 100%,” adds Glaser. “And if I ever met her, I would definitely apologize for hurting her feelings if she was indeed upset about it.”

“But I don’t mind it. If someone’s offended, they’re offended. I am never someone that’s like, ‘It’s a joke. Get over it.’ I will apologize for jokes I make, because I don’t always get it right. And I try to punch up, not punch down and just say what everyone’s thinking without really ruining anyone’s life or reputation,” she says.

“And so I’m always down to apologize to anyone who needs it,” adds Glaser. “So to anyone who’s offended, yeah, get me a message through my agents, I’m sure they’ll pass it along.”

In the days following the Brady roast, a source told PEOPLE that the supermodel, who shares son Benjamin, 15, and daughter Vivan, 12, with her ex, was “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family.” Brady also has son Jack, 17, with ex Bridget Moynihan.

Kevin Hart, Jeff Ross, Kim Kardashian and Ben Affleck were among the other acts who roasted Brady.
