NBA and Golden State Warriors great Stephen Curry recently gave his thoughts on the all-time starting NBA five.
Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant and Stephen Curry
One of the greatest NBA players Stephen Curry has been subject to widespread attention after his latest remarks regarding former NBA players. He has been one of the best players in the league over the last decade for his side, the Golden State Warriors.
Curry won four NBA titles with them during his illustrious career. However, he has been making headlines for his recent all-time starting 5 list. He recently revealed his revised list in an interview with the YouTube channel Dude Perfect.
The 36-year-old made daring selections that substituted LeBron James and himself for Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant. James, Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Duncan, Michael Jordan, and Curry himself were among his new selections.
Curry featured a different squad with Johnson, O’Neal, Duncan, Jordan, and Bryant last year. Although this roster received a lot of accolades, James’ exclusion caused some controversy.
The two stars have always gone toe-to-toe whenever they have faced each other in the past. In their legendary rivalry, Curry and James have faced off in four straight NBA Finals, with Curry emerging victorious in three of them.

Perhaps Curry’s choice to exclude James from his list was first impacted by this competitive history. However, now Curry’s decision to add James to his list may also be due to the 2024 Paris Olympics heroics they witnessed as teammates.
Stephen Curry shared his ‘bold’ take on the best PG ever
When it comes to the best point guards in NBA history, Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry feels he is at the top. Curry claimed that despite Magic Johnson’s “ridiculous” resume, he would place himself over the Los Angeles Lakers great in an interview with former NBA veteran Gilbert Arenas.

When asked if he was the ‘Best PG ever’ in the sport, Curry said that he and Magic Johnson were. This showcased the confidence Curry has in his skills and abilities. Picking himself over another star is something only he could do.
As for Johnson, he was a three-time MVP, five-time NBA champion, and twelve-time All-Star before retiring. He was also a point guard that no one had ever seen before because of his 6’9″ size. He pulled down 7.2 rebounds a game, in addition to scoring 19.5 points and 11.2 rebounds.
