What can motivate Stephen Curry, according to an NBA legend: “This will ignite a spark”

The point guard of the Golden State Warriors begins the 2024/25 season having achieved the only thing missing in his impressive career, the Olympic gold

Stephen Curry has already achieved everything in sports, with the gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. In the NBA, he has nothing left to prove, with four rings and two regular season MVP titles, one of them being unanimous, the only one in history to do so. Therefore, it is increasingly difficult to see where he could find motivation.

In addition, he is nearing 37 years old, and the Golden State Warriors do not have the highest-level roster they have had in recent times. However, in the traditional October survey, General Managers named Luka Doncic as the best point guard in the league while Curry appeared in third place.

According to Lou Williams, this could motivate the legendary player: “Time is undefeated, and that’s fine,” Williams said. “It is a testament to where the game is and where it’s going. You have guys like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, guys like Ja Morant and guys like Jalen Brunson and Luka Dončić, who, you know, have done a great job dethroning [Curry]. For a decade, [Curry] has been considered the best player… I don’t see anything wrong with this general managers’ survey. If anything, this will ignite a spark in Steph. But I think it’s consistent, and I think it’s fair.”

Chandler Parsons’s response

At the FanDuel TV set was also Chandler Parsons, former NBA player who also shared his perspective on Lou-Will’s words: “It’s okay,” Parsons said following Williams’s opinion. “[Curry] may not be the best point guard in the NBA this year. He is the best point guard of all time. Does it really matter?”
