“Bro, are we playing today?” – Warriors fans troll team’s social media handle for latest X post ft. Steph Curry, Draymond Green

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors will have a different look when the 2024 NBA season starts following Klay Thompson’s departure. NBA training camp is about a week away and the Warriors’ social media team is more than ready.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Warriors posted a couple of images featuring Curry and Draymond Green wearing warmups. The team is already teasing the upcoming season.

“Locked in and staying ready,” the account tweeted.

Despite hyping the team’s two best players, Golden State Warriors fans trolled their social media team for getting ahead of themselves. Some called them out for being too excited about a franchise that failed to make the playoffs last season.

“Bro, are we playing today?” a fan asked.

“Why you posting this like a game is about to start?” one fan questioned.

“To get the 11 seed?” another fan asked.

The post also triggered some angry reactions toward Draymond Green, who is coming off a controversial season. Green was suspended twice for on-court fights and some fans are blaming him for the franchise’s misfortunes in the past two years, including Klay Thompson leaving in free agency.

“Draymond Green will always be hurting the Warriors. He’s the reason why Kevin Durant, Jordan Poole, and Klay Thompson are not on the Warriors anymore, and also the reason why the Warriors started taking so many Ls. I wish they just traded him after what he said to Kevin Durant,” a fan wrote.

“F*ck Draymond’s b*tch a** self, could’ve won more titles,” one fan commented.

“Feel weird not having No. 11,” another fan remarked.

The Warriors retooled by bringing in free agents such as Buddy Hield, De’Anthony Melton and Kyle Anderson. They also gave Steph Curry a one-year extension to ease any fears of losing him.

Steph Curry made his Olympic debut in Paris two months ago and won a gold medal with Team USA. Curry was vital in the United States’ success in Paris, especially in the semifinals against Serbia and the final against the hosts France.

Curry’s play in the Olympics has inspired Golden State Warriors teammate Jonathan Kuminga for the upcoming season. It’s an important season for Kuminga, who is eligible to sign his max rookie contract.

“If you see one of the oldest guys in the NBA, on your team, still producing at that level, you might as well be inspired. You got to be inspired, and you got to follow his footsteps, and you got to watch him. And I was just inspired to be great. It inspired the whole team to help him, and I think that’s the goal this year for sure,” Kuminga said on Tim Kawakami’s ‘The TK Show.
