LeBron James, Anthony Davis highlights from USA’s win over Brazil

Team USA men’s basketball seems to be closing in on another Olympic gold medal, which would be its fifth in a row. On Tuesday, it took the court in Paris to start the medal tournament round against Brazil in the quarterfinals.

This game was a farce, as the United States got out to a double-digit lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back. It ended up winning in a laugher, 122-87, sending it to the semifinal round.

LeBron James scored 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting and led his squad with nine assists, eight of them coming in the first half. As he has throughout the Olympics, he did an excellent job of setting the table for his teammates.

Off the bench, Anthony Davis had another strong outing with 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and one blocked shot in 16 minutes.

Team USA will next play Serbia in the semifinal round on Thursday. Serbia boasts three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokić, a man whom many consider to be the best basketball player in the world.
