Ezekiel Elliott gives reason on why he came back to Cowboys, says he has ‘unfinished business’

He started his time in Dallas having a big impact but then it all went sideways until he has replaced.

Once he came into the league, he had a major impact in the Dallas Cowboys offense, then things started to fall so he went to another place trying to create the same impact he had at the beginning of his time as a professional football player.

Now, Ezekiel Elliott, after only spending one year away from home, returned to the team with which he began his career, after spending one season with the New England Patriots.

The 28-year-old running back had some time to reflect on his thought process behind the decision that marked his return to the lone star state and to America’s Team. “It feels great to be home. I missed being here, I missed this facility, I missed Cowboy Nation. I’m definitely very excited and most of all, ready to get this thing going.”

Zeke understands the responsibility he has once again

Ezekiel Elliott also spoke about the departure of Tony Pollard, who starting next season will play with the Tennessee Titans, although he regretted that he will no longer share the field with him, a player that ultimately ended up taking the starting job when they were both in Dallas.

It’s definitely good to see that the Titans are going to pay TP what he deserves. He’s a tremendous running back who has had an incredible career. I’m excited for him and his family. It will definitely be different not being with him,” Zeke said, visible happy for his friend.

Furthermore, he made it clear that upon his return he still has many things to do with the team. “I have ‘unfinished business‘, now I arrive with more experience, and I am ready to focus on helping my team and my younger teammates to help them to find their way.”
