Scottie Pippen’s youngest son Justin is officially a high school graduate!
The NBA legend, 58, shared on Instagram on Friday, May 31, that he recently celebrated a major milestone with his son Justin, 17, who graduated from Sierra Canyon School.
Scottie posted a family photo from the day on his grid. In the snap, he stands next to the proud graduate in his navy blue graduation gown alongside his other children, Scotty Pippen Jr., 23, Preston, 21, and daughter Sophia, 15, whom he shares with ex Larsa Pippen.
“Proud dad moment! Congrats, son! 🎓 @justinpippen,” Scottie captioned the post.
Justin shared his own post on the event, opening it with a photo of him and his siblings posing together following the graduation ceremony. He could be seen donning a dark blue cap and gown as he flashed a wide grin to the camera.
A second snap showed him hugging his mom, Larsa, while holding his diploma. The proud mom could also be seen wrapping her arms around her son as she smiled. The final photo he shared showed Justin without his cap and gown, alongside his siblings and father.
“Onto the next chapter,” he wrote.
During his time in high school, Justin played basketball for the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers team, though it is unknown if he will continue his basketball career into college. He also joined a team in the Amateur Athletic Union called the Stockton Soldiers, and Scottie has been seen supporting him courtside at some of his games.
However, Justin has also ventured outside the basketball court and tried his hand at modeling. In 2016, he appeared in the True Faces of the World campaign featuring kids with different backgrounds and cultures alongside his sister, Sophia.
Despite Scottie and Larsa’s divorce, which was finalized in December 2021, their children have been able to split their time between the pair who live in Los Angeles and Miami, respectively. Larsa previously opened up to PEOPLE about how her coparenting situation works with Scottie in December.
“I feel like my kids are older, so they get to enjoy their time with their dad. And they get to enjoy their time with us,” she said. “I feel like I love it. It’s like my kids are so happy. They’re lucky to have both great parents.”
