Two of Team USA’s basketball stars on Wednesday revealed the uniforms that will be worn in the 2024 Olympic Games.
Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant modeled the white edition of the uniforms that featured “USA” in white lettering and navy blue trim on the front. A navy blue stripe goes down the side before fading to a misty red on the shorts with a white star at the bottom.
Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson donned a red edition of the threads with a vertical pattern, red lettering and white trimming. Similar to the white edition, the uniform also includes a navy blue stripe that morphs into a misty red along the shorts with a red star at the bottom.
Alongside Wilson, the women’s team will feature some of the WNBA’s finest stars, such as Seattle Storm guard Jewell Loyd, Phoenix Mercury members Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi — who will play in her sixth Olympics — and New York Liberty teammates Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu.
The men’s team contains a bevy of competitive star power, such as Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, who will participate in his fifth Olympic Games, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.
The Paris Olympic Games opening ceremony is July 26. Team USA’s men’s squad plays its first game July 28 against Serbia. The women’s team will face Japan on July 29.
