The NBA offseason is officially in full swing, as the first two days of free agency have been loaded with player movement. One team that has been relatively quiet is the Phoenix Suns, as they are expected to mostly run back the same roster from last season outside of a few marginal roster tweaks.
This means despite reported trade interest from the Houston Rockets in superstar forward Kevin Durant, the two-time Finals MVP will be staying in Phoenix for the foreseeable future.
While he may not be moving teams this summer, Durant has still been making big moves, as he announced the launch of his KD17 “USA” sneakers on Monday:
This big announcement was made by Boardroom, which is Durant’s media company, and it was re-shared by the Suns star on his Instagram story. The post also references a link to Nike’s website that includes the following details on this big launch:

The timing of this launch is no coincidence, as Durant drops his KD17 “USA” sneakers right before he is set to compete for Team USA in the Paris Olympics.
Almost certain to feature these sneakers while in Paris, Durant will have the opportunity to display his new Nike collaboration on the world stage. This was a big announcement from Durant, and the timing was perfect.
