Kevin Durant made his name in the world of hoopers for his tough ball handling, impeccable shooting, and, of course, his trash-talking. Those who’ve faced KD have their own tales about how the Suns forward waged mental warfare against them. Dyson Daniels became the latest on that list to reveal another tale of Durant trash-talking.
The Pelicans rookie recently appeared on an episode of “Howie Games”. When asked about some of his trash-talking encounters on the court, Dyson revealed a story about Durant. “[Durant] Bump you & hit a fadeaway & say ‘lil ass b*tch you can’t guard me’…He was in the post, and he was talking to me. He’s telling me what he’s going to do,” Daniels said. “He’s going to hit a turnaround fader and he did it, he’s like, ‘hold this motherf*ker,’” said the 22-year-old, leaving the host in a hysterical laugh.

Hard luck for Daniels; he did not get the chance to return the favor to the 35-year-old. “I’m usually sitting in the corner, waiting for my opportunity, but I would love to get involved in more trash talk,” Daniels told Mark Howard.
Durant and the Suns’ trash-talking went well during the regular season. But in the playoffs, it was a different story. KD faced off against another adept trash-talker in the league, Anthony Edwards, and we already know how that ended.
But despite his chirpy persona, Durant is a well-respected pro throughout the league. While his accomplishments speak for themselves, his peers always have something good to say about him.
Kevin Durant Gets Appreciation From Fellow NBA Player
After some rest in the off-season and handling some business, KD is back on the court, putting in the work. Recently, he worked out with Pelicans guard CJ McCollum. Thanking KD for his time and effort, McCollum wrote on his IG post, “Target practice with a legend. Been about 7 years since we got a workout in together 7. Appreciate the work brotha and glad to see you still training like it’s pre draft. The left hand Hesi pull up trey is a shot I stole a long time ago. Been about a decade. A lot has changed since we first met (Brickley). Glad to see everything going well for you. The work is undefeated.”
Durant is set to feature for Team USA in the upcoming Paris Olympics. The team will be ready to take the court on July 27 after playing some exhibition games, with the first one on July 10. KD will have a chance to bag his 4th straight Olympic Gold medal to cement his legacy permanently with the national team.
