Lil Durk reveals his special offer to LeBron James.
Rapping legend Lil Durk is a die-hard Bulls fan and he just wants to see them become great again. So with NBA free agency on the horizon, the Chicago native slid into the King’s DM’s with a lucrative offer.
“You and Bronny come to Chicago Bulls sh*t I’ll pay you if I have to… Idc if I got to go half, it’s time lol.”
LeBron, a 4x NBA champion, did not respond to the message but that’s no surprise for a guy who is on the verge of a major career decision. In just a few weeks, James could join the free agent class if he opts out of his $51 million player option next season. The Lakers are prepared to do everything and anything they can to keep their franchise star but it’s currently unknown which way he’s leaning at the moment.

The Bulls are not among the teams with cap space right now, but they could make room if they trade players like Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic. Of course, they’ll also need to pick up Bronny at some point. With the 11th pick, the Bulls will either need to slide down or trade for an additional pick to draft James but it could be a worthy investment if they’re able to sign both him and his father.
Despite being among the NBA’s most renowned franchises, the Bulls have fallen on dark times since the Michael Jordan era ended and the fans there (like Lil Durk) are desperate for any signs of life. It will take more than one or two moves to push this team into contender status but having LeBron (even at 39) would at least make them an interesting story in the East.
LeBron Almost Joined The Bulls In 2010
A lesser-known fact about the Bulls is that they almost had LeBron James once before. Back in 2010, leading up to the decision, LeBron was still mulling his options on whether to stay with the Cavaliers or start fresh somewhere new.
That summer, the Bulls were one of those teams in contention for the NBA superstar and there were even some plans to create a borderline superteam with LeBron, Wade, and young superstar point guard Derrick Rose. Chicago was at the top of the list for both Wade and LeBron at the time and they would have been unstoppable together in the Windy City.
What eventually turned them away from the Bulls was the presence of Rose, who was best with the ball in his hands. According to Wade, he could not envision a successful tenure with three ball-dominant superstars and they settled on joining with Chris Bosh (a defensive-first big man) on the Miami Heat instead.
The Bulls were not too far off from becoming a dynasty and we can only imagine how much hype and excitement their arrival would have brought to the city of Chicago. Sadly, the Bulls missed their chance and what they have instead is a group of misfits who are miserable on the court together.
Lil Durk, like many Bulls fans, is tired of seeing this legendary franchise fail and he is going to some extreme lengths to bring hope back to his team. But until a true superstar comes to save the day, the Bulls will be stuck in purgatory for the foreseeable future.
